Wobet Alula 70 years old is living with her grandchildren Abel Mesfin (19 years) and Meseret Mesay (14 years) on the streets. Parents of both kids did die 5 years ago and they did stop with school. The old grandmother is not able to care for shelter and food and the kids should go to school quickly again. Starting in february Katja Stang from Frankfurt a.M will take sponsorship for the old lady Wobet and her grandchildren. Housing and shelter for them is save and we will care for brining both of the kids as soon as possibel back to school. Great thanks is going to Katja!

New sponsorship with Minaiv

Minaiv has twins at the age of 4 months, one of  them is in hospital suffering about lung disease and further health problems. The father has left Minaiv and her kids alone and she does not know at all how to go on. Money for necessary medication is missing and currently she is sleeping  in a stall with goats and sheeps. Paulina Bergk from Frankfurt a.M is starting sponsorship for Minaiv and her twins in january 2019 at cost of 30 Euro monthly.The three of them will get shelter of housing , costs for food and necessary medication will be covered. Zemed is certainly better off

Zemed did suffer long time about severe swelling from goitre at her throat which was never removed in surgery because of HIV. In April last year Zemed could breath very hard only so therefore surgery had to be done. We passed on 300 Euro and sent her to Bahir Dar to hospital for surgery. At our last visit in july the wound did not heal up at all for several months and got infected again so we had to sent her again to hospital to Bahir Dar with 300 Euro – and now after half a year it`s all healed up and Zemed is save and did survive. Without aid of HOPE she would have died already and her son Saleamilak would have lost both of his parents. This time we sent Zemed to Bahir Dar because of nessecary check-up and gave her 200 Euro, hopefully the long way of  healing is sucessfull. Many thanks is going to the sponsors Ferdinand Reul sen. and Christa Juretzka from Berlin, both of them did travel to Lalibela with us and did cover a share of costs for check-up.

Adina: suspected cancer

Adina has two daughters at the age of 11 and 8, both of them are going to school – 6th and 3rd class. Her babys are twins about 14 months old. The kids do have different fathers, both still living at countyside poorest of poor. Adina currently has got problems with her breast. Doctors gave the diagnosis about suspected cancer- but for making sure about diagnosis she has to go to Bahir Dar for medical examination. Adina has to take the babies with her to Bahir Dar and the two daughters will stay meanwhile in Lalibela. Her health condition has urgently to be examinated! Still she is breastfeding the babies and we certainly do hope discovered tissue alteration is going along about breastfeding. For medical consultation in Bahir Dar we pass on 300 Euro to Adina.
