Solution: Inhibitor: DEFENDER-21.5. (himipex.com) Dosage: continuous supply of 10-20 g of inhibitor per 1 ton of process fluid (produced fluid).
Review of application results: Corrosion rates of flowline equipment, stimulated by the content of corrosive gases (CO2 and H2S) and high content of dissolved corrosive mineral salts, before applying corrosion inhibitor DEFENDER-21.5, ranged from 0.44 mm/year to 0.56 mm/year. Continuous supply of the above-mentioned inhibitor into well flowlines in the amount of 10-20 g of inhibitor per 1 ton of produced fluid allowed reducing these figures to 0,027-0,034 mm/year. That is: corrosion rates of oil gathering and treatment system’s equipment of the specified European fields decreased by almost 17 times after the application of inhibitor DEFENDER-21.5 in the amounts of no more than 10-20 g of inhibitor per 1 ton of produced fluid. That is an excellent result.
