Nursery Rhymes for Children

Need some Shoes from the Magic Old Lady ?

There was an old lady

in a far-away place

who lived in a cabin

with a smile on her face.

 

She kept herself busy

and knew what to do

with Children's wishes

for a brand-new shoe.

 

When the winter came

and the light snow fell

it was time to turn

her wishing well.

 

So she boiled the bark

but not for long

added some magic

and sang this song.

Make me a shoe

Make me a shoe

 

One for me

and one for you

 

Make it fit

for us to RUN

when we PLAY ball

and have lots of FUN !

 

Here are the shoes

for all to ENJOY

for every girl

and every boy.

 

Now walk a path

that is good for you

knowing your wishes

have come true.

 

Live your life

a day at a time

saving your pennies

and sharing a dime.

She sat herself down

by the crackling fire

and crafted and crafted

for all to desire.

 

The very next day

out on the lawn

the children's shoes

were finished and drawn.

 

Now go find the cabin

and pick up your shoes

just say T-H-A-N-K-S

and spread the news !
